St Lucia Community Healthcare & Ambulance Project

Affiliated to Unity of UK St Lucian Associations (Reg. Charity No 1100605)

our mission

To support the St Lucia health authority, its staff and volunteers by providing professional advice, support, equipment, training and guidance, to alleviate and reduce occupational hazard, stress and injury at work or in the workplace and to advance the education of the public in matters relating to health and safety

our vision

This project aims to improve the long term provision of emergency healthcare in St Lucia.

There is currently an urgent need for patient carry chairs and other associated equipment within the ambulance and health service in St Lucia.

We aim to raise funds to purchase these chairs and to assist in the training of appropriate personnel in the correct usage of this specialist equipment.

Our intention is to create a sustainable flow of quality equipment backed up by providing professional support and advice.

This will have a positive effect in improving patients care and protecting the health & safety of the ambulance staff and the public.

We will work in partnership with the GMB, UNISON, the St Lucian Associations in the UK, volunteers from the UK ambulance services and the local community to raise the profile of this project and to access funds for this venture.
